Am I right for questioning this

All throughout my life I have been religious. I have been raised in a Christian family/household and I started going to church consistently at 16 and gave my life to Christ at 18. I have been questioning religion and my faith ever since as it just doesn't seem right that I must blindly put my trust in someone without any evidence of it. There is also no archeological evidence for Jesus' existence and I know I'm going to get a lot of hate on here but I just don't like some Christians. I also know that there isn't actually any proof of an afterlife and although some people have NDEs (Near Death Experiences), we don't know for sure if it is true. So what does everyone else think. Btw feel free to argue against my thoughts, I'm looking for a glimpse of any hope I can find

Hi

I'm a Christian (have been all my life but at some points I have struggled with my faith)

There's actually plenty of historical evidence for Jesus' existence. Whether you believe what he said was true is a different matter though.

To be honest I have met a lot of Christians that I don't really like (some are nosy, some are a bit holier-than-thou) but remember that there will always be someone you'll dislike in every group of people. Christians aren't exempt from doing unlikeable things - we're sinners too.

Quite a short answer sorry but if there's anything more specific feel free to ask!

HiShewins 101 I have had my faith from a child and was baptised at 8 and was given the gifts of the Holy Spirit at 17 and started a thread on that in this forum on baptism. I also have written my lifetime story of my faith which started young and I have shared the evidence from my life on my blog to try and help others looking for spiritual help with the Christian faith. https://www.racheltestimony.com/
.
The Dead Sea scrolls were found in caves south of Jericho in the Dead Sea are and containing Bibiical and inter-testatmental materials. These findings by archeology contribute to our possessions of some of the oldest tests of the Old Testament. to our understanding of inter-testamental times, and to a better understanding of Hebrew and Aramaic. Isaiah is found in these Scrolls to which mention a Messiah to come- "I will set up thy seed after thee (after King David), which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son (2 Samuel 7 12-13). God in this scripture also called David his servant and said that his Son was to come.

2 From my understanding they still have things in Jerusalem historical wise from the time of Christ and oral tradition as well. In Bible's I have read there are pictures of where the Last Supper occurred in modern day Jerusalem. There are also artefacts like the Turin Shroud. There is a nativity grotto in Bethlehem that still stands to as well where Jesus was born. The Calvary exists to where Jesus was crucified. I like to see old relics like this.

3. The New Testament itself featured inspired writing under inspiration of the Holy Spirit by other writers like Paul who was a founder of the early Christian church. Also it featured other work by writers like Timothy who were a friend of Paul who were a preacher.

3 Have you been baptised with the Holy Spirit-this is meant to help support a believer and equip them in life and support the church. I was baptised at 17 and the Holy Spirit has shown me and others evidence of the faith through this. I have seen strong evidence for this in my life. If you haven’t there is a group aimed at young people called cenacle charismatic which caters around the Holy Spirit and they have a group to.

Also, science and the creation theories like the Big Bang theory and cosmic inflation does not remove the potential of there being a creator God. I have a post on my blog about this-

Stay with it and speak to God in prayer about about your doubts. If you haven’t iniated your gifts if you are baptised, perhaps get some holy water from a Catholic church which is blessed freely and say a prayer to Holy Spirit yourself with your difficulties. God said that you can ask for the Holy Spirit yourself in the New Testament. Luke 11:13
