I did yes! But mostly evaluated options based on colleges with accommodations for partners.

Cool! Which one did you indicate a preference for, if you don't mind me asking? I indicated Exeter for placement because I might want to try my chances with their scholarship.

On a separate note, I noticed that they were sending out 'Application Ready for Assessment' e-mail over the past few days, with a note that applicants might hear their offer in late March 2026. I was mindful that last year's deadline was around the first week of January as opposed to this academic year's month-ahead deadline on W1 December. I was hoping if we could receive our decision earlier though, provided concerns are expressed, given that late March is already beyond their 10-week timeframe. I know it's typical to ask other grad schools on this matter, was thinking if it's of similar line for Oxford as well.

Btw I left out that I might need the decision to come earlier since I'm expecting to apply to a state-funded scholarship as well. They usually open around mid-January and run application window for a month until February.

I applied to St John's.

My 'ready for assessment' email at the end of November cited the 8-10 week standard for an answer rather than late March. It would be nice to hear back earlier, though I had always expected to hear back around mid-March (even with the December deadline) with everyone else. Hate the wait!

Mine cited "Late March" which sucks because it will be the last of the offers i'm waiting for.. really hope they do mid march at least

Me too! I've received an offer for the LSE MPP, so that will tide me over for at least a couple of weeks 🙂

Oh I was not referring to the e-mail I got following my submission (in which they also state 8-10 weeks) but rather to the 'MPP application received' they sent out just last week (on 6 Jan).

It has been nearly eight weeks since the deadline. The application submission email stated that the outcome would be communicated by email approximately 8–10 weeks after the deadline. Does anyone have any idea when the results might be released?

Yes exactly! I was wondering why they cited offers to be out by late March 2026 if they set an early December deadline. ☹️

Last year, they also posted an update on Instagram at the start of the seventh week after the application deadline, saying that the results would be released in two weeks. This time, there hasn’t been any such update.

Hello all. During the information session, the Director of Admissions mentioned that the number of applications has been steadily increasing, and an 8-week review period is simply not enough to thoroughly assess each application. That is why they moved the deadline one month earlier. This change does not imply that we will hear back one month earlier; according to the admissions team, we should expect to receive decisions in mid to late March.

Has anyone applied to the DPhil? I know this thread is about the MPP, however I just wanted to see if anyone who applied to the doctorate has read this?
