My Compelling personal reasons was rejected?

I previously went to University for 2 years, during my second year I got pregnant, was diagnosed with hyperemesis and polyhydramnios so I had to leave due to those health reasons. I have been studying Japanese since i was 14 and dedicated everything to the job I wanted which is to teach in Japan. For visa to teach in Japan you need a degree. Obviously I can't get funded for another full course since I have already completed 2 years. I applied for an extra year due to compelling personal circumstances but it was rejected. Not sure if there's any help I can get, I feel destroyed after spending half my life working towards a dream that's no longer possible just because birth control happened to double cross me. Please no "Well you got pregnant so it's you're fault" comments, I'm well aware, I just want to know if there's anything I can do as I've worked so hard and don't want to give up.

Hi there,

Can you please tell us more about why we didn't accept your evidence?

Normally, we advise that you can submit more evidence if possible. For example, a letter from a professional person (like a doctor or tutor) can be accepted.

Thanks, Graeme

Good Morning,

They didn't give a reason just a letter saying "Thank you for your letters, the following is your entitlement calculation" which was 0. I've probably emailed them 20 times over the last few years and sent various letters and all I ever get back Is the same response that i'm not entitled to anything. Which may be true, I just wondered if there was anything possible to help me as like i say I've spend half my life working hard to now be disappointed. Feel like I've wasted half my life.

Hi there. We don't accept incoming emails, who have you been sending emails to? For our compelling personal reasons process, you upload evidence to your online account and the assessors will respond via email, but you can't email them back.

For the evidence, we can accept photocopies of the following:

-Letter from a GP on headed paper
-Letter from University on headed paper
-Letter from Social Services on headed paper
-Letter from clergy or professional person on headed paper
-Death Certificate and/or a Birth Certificate

The evidence must be;

- Signed and dated
-Confirms the reason why you could not continue with your studies, how your condition impacted your ability to study and
- When this took place

You will also need to send this with a letter from yourself explaining what has happened, in your own words.

Is it possible your Doctor letter didn't have all the information above? Thanks, Leah.

I also filled out a form and sent all that evidence but never got a real response that wasn't a flat out eligibility letter.

Hi there. If you contact us directly, we will be able to have a look into why the evidence wasn't accepted, or if there is anything missing. It's not something we can do on social media. Thanks, Leah.
