Vet med Application

Hello! Im trying to apply to vet med, but Im not sure if I have the gcse grades to apply. I got 7s in both Chemistry and Physics, but I got a B in Biology. Im slightly worried this will mean I won't meet the entry requirements to apply in the UK. For a levels, I'm taking Biology, chemistry and Psychology, but I'm still unsure if I should go for it or not because the universities may immediately reject me if I'm below average compared to other competent applicants.

Hi, based off what I know, if you are genuinely interested in doing VetMed, you could either retake your bio gcse if you like and most unis should accept that, if not that, then some make it very clear that as long as you meet the entry requirements for gcses you are given an given an equal chance and then other aspects come into play like ur personal statement, predicted grades, maybe an admissions test depending on the uni. What may be helpful is to actually attend the uni open days or contacting them, which will help u understand what they focus on, for example knowing a uni such as Cambridge is highly competitive and getting into VetMed itself is, so maybe applying to Cambridge may not be the best for a person. What may also be helpful if you haven’t done so already is, having a list of the vet unis and noting down exactly what they require.
