Work experience or talks (medicine/microbiology)

I am a y12 student and I am looking for work experience or talks for either medicine or microbiology. I am 17 next month so I don't know if my age may affect some but if there is any around please tell me.

Try contacting your nearest teaching hospital's work experience team. Also check university open days many have lab tours or talks. 17 is standard age for medical work experience

Hey!
Great that you are trying to get experience early (it will greatly help in the long term)
My suggestion is doing Newcastle Mini Medical school. I'm not sure if applications have already closed or if it has finished but it is a series of online lectures by different medical professionals and has some great insight into holistic medicine/biomedical research.
If applications have already closed, they upload the lectures on youtube (see link below). Would be great to have a watch, take some notes and save them for future interviews!

For medicine, I also did Observe GP which is an online work experience programme which is free to do. I did manage to get in person experience too but this can be difficult due to safeguarding and insurance bits and bobs
