UCL- Politics and International Relations

Has anyone received an offer for Politics and IR from UCL yet? I applied on October 9th and I've heard from all my universities bar UCL. Is this normal? How much longer should I be waiting?

Not yet and I sent off my UCAS in late September - I know of offers coming out for the more niche adjacent courses (those with a year abroad) but I wouldn't worry if I were you. London offers come out in Feb/March and anything earlier is really out of the ordinary.

ive seen KCL offers for international relations and war studies (i got mine last month) and i’ve seen a bunch of humanities offers from UCL already except P&IR. That probably owes to how many applicants apply to it each year (referring to their official statistics) so they probably have to wait longer/have more applications to get through which is why it seems P&IR applicants seem to be waiting longer than most, similar to last years application spreadsheet.

That being said, yesterday I saw the first offer from the Department of PolSci - albeit an international student, for PPE.

Very normal. Unis have until May to make offers and UCL is well known to make offers right up until May (when I applied to a different course at UCL I got my offer in May...!).

They also won't necessarily make all offers for the course at the same time - they make some offers earlier and some later.

Try not to worry about it, because it could be some time yet - just bear in mind as long as you haven't had a rejection yet, you're still in the running!
