Law, politics could go into civil service with the government or international relations, Journalism if you like writing

Any career that does not require STEM training.
A sample of English graduates whom I know from university -
One publisher Two lawyers Two academics Two actors Two film and TV directors One journalist One billionaire's wife One social worker One owner of an educational company One published novelist One published poet and editor of poetry One stand up comedian and comedy writer One senior civil servant One political pollster and TV and radio pundit
Amongst the History graduates whom I know: several lawyers and civil servants, a few academics, a financial services regulator, a forex trader, a publisher, a spy, two human resources directors, two school teachers, and so on. Politics grads would be similar.
As for STEM, by the way, James Burke, the greatest living historian of science, the man who covered the Moon landings for the BBC, read English at Oxford.
