Who would you vote for in the general election?

If they had a general election tomorrow, who would you vote for?
And why?

Reform.
The others are as bad as each other at the moment, so may as well give them a chance.

Kent County Council? Farage's racism? The same economically destructive policies as the tories, especially their unfunded tax cuts for the rich? Net migration is already down to pre-Brexit levels, media just doesn't talk about it. All of the rubbish about foreign nationals commiting more crimes of a sexual nature, well the Centre for Migration Control (CMC) admitted to lying about their data by making up figures to get a result they wanted.

I think it would still have to be Labour *sigh*

No way Tories (Politically evil)
No way Reform (Generally evil)
Green, Liberal, SNP I don't think have any significant steam behind them, the new party Corbyn and Sultana tried to start is already dead in the water. What else is there to vote for?

Reply 4

I suspect the next general election will involve a lot of tactical voting by those intent on keeping Reform out.

Reply 5

I’d vote for whoever earns my trust. Until then, I’m watching what they do, not what they say.

Reply 6

I would probably go for Reform, unless I decide I can trust Kemi.
been a Tory voter since I was able to vote, but not sure for next time.

Reply 7

Jeremy Corbyn’s new Party.

I suggest that you put a poll at the top for people to vote for their option. Suggested options are:

Labour

Conservative

Reform

Liberal Democrats

Greens

SNP

DUP

Plaid Cymru

UKIP

Sinn Fein

I don’t like Farage so as unenthusiastic as I am currently, I would vote Tory if an election was held tomorrow.

This is a false equivalence. None of the other parties openly threaten to trample on human and civil rights as Reform does, not even the Conservatives. Reform's entire position is to attack just about every other group in the UK. Black, brown, gay, trans, refugee, migrant. It uses "culture wars" as a smokescreen to gain political capital and as we can see from its multiple collapsing councils, arrested "former" party members, and expelled members, it has no ability to govern - rife with corruption, incapable of managing budgets and stripping core services that thousands rely on in the councils they control to shave a fraction of a % from a budget while wastefully spending money on political appointees of associates of their party in rampant cronyism.

To add to this, we have occasionally seen Farage’s mask slip and seen his pro-Putin stance. There is already one of his colleagues rotting in jail for being a Russian agent. He has spent that last few years building relationships with the very same members of America’s elite that are pushing the country to a reactionary oligarchy. The party lacks the democratic structures that are the norm for British political parties. Instead, it is an organisation entirely centred on fealty to Farage.

Scratch beneath Reform’s performative flag waving and it is clear there is very little British patriotism.

One issue that Reform is having is that we are seeing more scrutiny of their candidates. It turns out a lot of them have a history of expressing just the sort of reactionary opinions we'd expect them to hold.

This is just from today:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/dec/05/reform-uk-revokes-membership-ian-cooper-council-leader-accused-of-racism
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/12/05/reform-mayoral-candidate-david-lammy-to-go-home-caribbean/

I have no doubt that many perspective Reform voters enthusiastically share such views, however the majority of British people find them abhorrent, so it limits Reform's potential.

Although, I share your sentiments towards Farage and Reform, I think there is a reasonable chance that they will have some dodgy individuals because of the size, age and coverage of their party representation.

Many contemporary British political parties have existed for decades and have gone through the period of trial and error.

Reform are the only option really. Conservatives did a terrible job and Labour are doing even worse. You can't really vote for Liberal Democrats if you voted Brexit like I did and you can't really vote for Green if you eat meat like I do.

It's a real shame what happened with Rupert Lowe though, he'd be my choice for leader.

You misspelt Sinn Féin, it needs a fada over the e to make it é.
Your current spelling makes no sense as Gaeilge.
