A local fast food shop within the town would do a roast dinner with like Yorkshire Pudding, Mash Potatoes, Vegetable's like Parsnips, Carrots, Chicken whether that’s a Breast or Leg or Wing and the choice of Wedges or Chips and Gravy.

I do love a good mince pie. Currently OBSESSED with the Tesco crumble-top one (which is about half-price with a Clubcard! Need to stock up before they hike up the price :eek2: ) :coma:

Beans in blankets with potatoes, red cabbage, sprouts, roasted meat and a delicious, juicy sauce. That is what I called a good Christmas dinner!
Marzipan.

It's also my favourite food the rest of the year, but I find it's a bit more socially acceptable in December. :sadnod:

Nothing is wrong with a good marzipan. Maybe you have heard of Lübeck Marzipan, it is a well known brand in Germany.

Yes, I'm aware of that area and its produce. If I'm very lucky, I sometimes get Niederegger marzipan for Christmas.

A bar of Niederegger is quite expensive: 10 8,74) for 200 g, bought in a shop! Lübeck is a city, not an area in Germany.

My favourite Christmas food is definitely Christmas pudding.
I love the sweet, rich flavour and the tradition of lighting it with brandy. It just tastes like Christmas to me.

We used to distribute them at our place (until we stopped doing work for KP).
I've never been a fan of them myself, i prefer mini cheddars.

Which kinds of? mashed potatoes or even croquettes? I prefer the latter, if I have to choice between them.

I love potatoes in all forms :talkhand: But if I had to choose, I'd choose chips :eating:

Not so much food, but usually the wine I pair with it. Pinot noir is ******* amazing with turkey on the rare occasions we bother with it and a robust Bordeaux like Pauillac goes incredibly with roast beef (the usual).
