Persian A level

Hey!

Is anyone else doing Persian A Level? 🥲 I could really use some revision tips. I’m fully fluent and got full marks in GCSE, but those 30-mark questions at A Level are honestly terrifying 😭. Also, I have no idea how to write an essay—like, what even do you write about for 30 marks?! And don’t even get me started on the films and books… they’re so boring I’m actually considering dropping it.

Anyone else in a similar situation

Hi @Birch_fig i can’t speak from a fluent or native perspective but I did a Spanish a level which had similar 30 mark questions. It’s like a what you would write for English gcse in the first few years, so try doing the PEEL structure for your answers P.oint E.vidence E.xplain L.ink

Make sure you work out what the command word is in the question such as Access, Compare or Discuss and structure yours answers around this.

Have a few quotes memorised from the books and films that you can throw in as evidence when you are making your point.

Hope this helps,
