Science extended degree -> diagnostic radiography

Hi I was wondering if anyone has studied the science extended degree at the university of Huddersfield and progressed onto diagnostic radiography at another university maybe university of salford?!
I know that they do accept the foundation year and take work experience into consideration too however I was wondering what do they expect percentage wise to achieve in the foundation year. Also do they do interviews and how is it and what to expect.

Foundation years are designed to allow you to progress to the degree course at the same university. They are not standardised and therefore not readily accepted for a transfer to another university. Are you thinking about this route as you don't have the correct level 3 qualifications to meet the entry requirements for a DR degree course? Have you looked at DR courses with a foundation year? What qualification do you have?

I emailed the university that I wanted to apply to and they said they do accept the foundation year with relevant work experience but they didn’t mention the requirement of the foundation year meaning like what percentage I would have to achieve. I did A level business law and computer science that’s why I’m doing this foundation year.

Also I’m studying the science extended degree at the moment initially to progress onto Mpharm at the university I’m already at. However I obviously need to be realistic and have backups just in case I don’t make it onto pharmacy
Hey @1shratt,

If you've emailed our Enquiries team and they've advised you your FY is one we can consider for the course that's great! Typically on a relevant foundation year (we will need to have checked we count your degree as relevant!) all modules should be achieved at 65% or above, but any grade requirements will be listed if you do receive an offer from us. I'd say its worth emailing our Enquiries team for full confirmation, but also might be worth considering visiting us for an Open Day so you can speak with our Radiography academics?

We do interview for Radiography - usually these are in person interviews with group and individual elements, although they can change between academic years so its worth checking our webpages/speaking with our Enquiries team in the year you apply to double check the processes!

Big note for this - all universities will be very different when it comes to accepting FY's from other institutions as entry onto their courses, so its always worth contacting anywhere you're considering individually to check with them. With Health courses requirements can change/vary, so always worth getting full confirmation!

Good luck with your applications - if you have any queries let me know!
