Forum Games: Hurt/heal game requests thread

As per the new Forum Games guidance, a maximum of five hurt/heal games are allowed in Forum Games at any one time. At present, these are:

English cities hurt/heal game
Supermarkets hurt/heal game
Breakfast items hurt/heal game
Premier League clubs hurt/heal game
Christmas carols hurt/heal game

If you have an idea for a different hurt/heal game that we could start playing when one of the existing ones closes, or a seasonal hurt/heal game to play at a particular time of year, please use this thread to suggest it! You can also make a case for reopening an old hurt/heal game again.

The Chat volunteers and Community Staff will make final decisions on which games are opened and closed, but please use this thread to make suggestions!

The Russell group hurt/heal game needs to be on the list, it’s the longest running FG one AFAIK and more popular than any of the ones currently listed. Unless it’s considered to be one of the legacy games.

Honourable (my one) is/was also more popular than some of those games listed. Edit: Re honourable, that game isn’t played by a lot of people currently however so definitely not comparable or important on whether it remains open vs closed at least from my side as the creator.

When convenient I would like to reopen my Alevel subject game please.

Yes I’ve just seen that RG has been closed, this absolutely needs to be reconsidered as this is poor decision making by whoever was responsible. I’d be in favour of closing some of the other ones in the list over the RG one.

RG should’ve been the first one to be exempt from the 5 games at a time rule, definitely over my G20 one for example.

No offence but I dont understand why these ones have been chosen as the 5 to stay open, the breakfast one for example hasn’t been active for a year from what i can see :hmmmm: Im just wondering how these were chosen really.

Hello.

Can i request for the Russell Group hurt/heal game to be reopened? It’s one of the oldest TSR games and has existed for more than 12 years.

Link is here: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7226979

Thank you.

The answer is semi-randomly, to be honest, excluding some of the most problematic games (see EH's statement yesterday for an explanation of the issues there).

The intention of this thread though is that the landscape will be more fluid going forward, so if people have ideas they would prefer, please suggest them!
I presume the current discussion will be for what takes the place of the Christmas one when the Christmas game has a conclusion?

It is worth saying that if we are worried about longevity, we need to re-opened games that are in the best interest of the longevity of Forum Games staying open. This means not re-opening threads that have caused the biggest headaches for the moderators with the amount of arguing happening within them.

A conversation about that will need to be had, yes! Though we'd like to keep one of the slots for a seasonal game, so after Christmas looking to switch to something appropriate to whatever is going on in the new year when the game concludes :yep:

Maybe something similar to the subject hurt/heal games could be an option around may/june as a seasonal game for exams season :dontknow:

It would be good to do something related to exam season that will cause less of a headache than the previous game, for sure!

This is an excellent idea and one that honestly hadn't crossed my mind. Though, in my defence, it is quite late for me.
