How to manage uni work with interest in japanese

There’s already a ton of uni work to deal with but there’s also this big interest in japanese stuff on the side especially how the meaning changes with different kanji. (iykyk) Anyone of you here trying to handle normal study pressure while also learning something extra just because it’s fun? How do people keep it going and without getting swamped? Thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi!

I was like this when learning italian! would definitely recommend that you ensure you keep your uni the front and centre of your focus as it is so important you get that done! However, i think this is the perfect opportunity to practice balance and time management! Set yourself goals throughout the week such as to do so much of your uni work and then on the weekends or when you get these goals done practice a certain amount of Japanese and who the meaning changes depending on certain stuff. Do this every week and hopefully you will be able to fit both in whilst also being able to dedicate your time too both passions!

Hope this helps and good luck with your learning!
