Is it worth applying to Oxford

I achieved 9999887777 in gcse with a 7 in maths however I now attend a grammar school where I haven’t met anyone with more than one 7😰 and they just achieved 8s ad 9s.
For a levels I take philosophy,psychology, economics and maths but I have to drop one
I’m in year 12 and I have at least 10 extracurriculars.
I struggle in maths a level though is it still worth it?

i think it’s definitely still worth considering! if you feel confident you can get all a’s and a*’s at a-level you still have a chance. extracurriculars aren’t too important (you’ll only have a few sentences to write about it in ur PS if you’re applying to oxbridge.) they are looking more for super curriculars - so reading around your subject, being in academic groups or clubs are more important to oxford.

i applied with 4 a* and 8 a’s at gcse (or something like that i forget the actual amount) and my teacher originally had a rule where you would need 5 a stars to apply but she let me anyways and now i have an interview!

so if you’re really passionate and just sort of want to throw your hat in the ring then go for it
