Are my predicted grades enough for these unis for economics/finance?
I am currently in year 13 and will be applying for Economics and Finance. My predicted grades are AAB.
Would I be able to get an offer from Leeds, who wants AAA?
My address is a contextual offer but i’m not sure if it will be guaranteed.
I also want to apply to York, Lancaster and Southampton(AAB).
Will I be guaranteed with these 4 offers?

Your predicted are strong, I would say you're fine applying to all of those, especially with contextual. 🙂

My original offers were supposed to be AAA but I got an AAB offer from Leeds and ABB offer from York (contextual bc of postcode) so I say go for it, plus you could always try and push ur teacher to raise your predicted by one grade that’s what I did 🤍🤍

Okay thank you, just wasn’t 100% too sure if I would be guaranteed with the contextual offer.

I applied with A*AA but my GCSES aren’t competitive (6/7’s) plus I got my teachers to predict me from AAB to A*AA by saying I could submit extra work and retake tests to prove I’m capable

First of, well done on your predicted grades, AAB is a really strong set of predictions!
While I wouldn’t be able to advise much regarding York and Southampton, Lancaster is known for being quite flexible and will often consider applicants who are slightly below the stated entry requirements. Plenty of students (myself included!) were accepted even if they were slightly below the stated requirements for their course, so with predicted AAB matching the entry requirements for Economics and Finance, you’re in a good position.

It's great to hear that you're considering applying to York for Economics and Finance 🎉 Hopefully we'll see you on campus next year!
Our typical offer for our BSc Economics and Finance course is AAB, including Mathematics. Your predicted grades suggest that you're completely on-track to achieve AAB or higher, so I think you stand a good chance of receiving an offer from us, assuming that one of your A levels is Mathematics 😀

Well done on your predicted grades and we are glad to hear that you are considering Southampton!
As you mentioned, the entry requirements for Econ and Finance here are AAB, which match your predicted grades. Also factoring in the fact that you should get a contextual offer - while nothing is guaranteed, and I would strongly advise still working hard on your personal statement - it should be quite likely for you to receive an offer from the University of Southampton, should you apply!
