It is quite a student city, with a lot of alternative and bougie bars! The crime rates are generally low in Cambridgeshire, however I would still look out for bike theft if you are planning on commuting by bike. I keep my bike double locked and parked at campus with CCTV nearby (mostly for peace of mind).

Part-time jobs are not that difficult to find as you'd think. Full-time jobs are hard to find, that is for sure, but I have not yet met a person who struggled to find a PART-TIME job. Most of my friends at ARU apply for part-time jobs as a barista, cinema staff, and even weekend cleaning at hotels. ARU Temps also offers a lot of part-time jobs which you can find at https://temps.aru.ac.uk/.

Peterborough ARU does not have any student accomodation, however the university does offer some legit agencies which offer private sector accomodation. At https://www.aru.ac.uk/student-life/accommodation/accommodation-in-peterborough you can find these agencies, alongside some tips, useful information and information on how to get in contact with the Residential Service.
