Hey I got an offer for PALS Bsc - I'm predicted 3A*, A (AS), and I've achieved an A*. What about you?

I definitely don’t compare to you! Currently predicted A*BB but I may have gotten it up to A*AA not sure yet. Update I did get it up to A*AA so I’m doing psych instead

Congratulations on your offer and your stats!!! I also applied to psychology and language sciences at UCL but for the Msci. Just wondering when you submitted your application and when you received your decision?

Thank you!! 😆 I submitted my UCAS in the first/second week of October and got my offer pretty much exactly a month later. I know someone who got an offer for Msci around the same time so you might hear back soon if you haven't already!

I’ve applied for psychology Msci but the Msci is a good way to save money if u want a masters and want to stay in the field. I think it also tends to have less applicants that’s Bsc

I lowk wanna do business psych or organisational psych for my masters, also on the ucas website, 70 percent of ppl who applied to BSC were offered a place, compared to the 20 percent for MSCI

If you want to do a separate masters, it might be better to apply for BSc cause otherwise you'll be doing your undergrad degree for a whole extra year and then a masters after that - though if you want to get more experience in, stick with Msci. I personally went with BSc since I plan on doing a masters elsewhere after UCL, and possibly a DPhil after that so I don't really want to delay everything by a year cause otherwise I'll be at uni for a decade... I wouldn't really worry about the acceptance stats cause your predicted grades are above the requirements (pretty sure it was A*AA for Msci and AAA for BSc), so as long as your personal statement, reference, and GCSEs are okay, it should be fine for either course - just go with the one you like more!

i would value the extra year just for experience you know, i was considering the swap purely cuz i was stressed about not being accepted into the one with the higher requirements, but if the difference in terms of my acceptance is minimal between the two, ill stick with Msci.

That’s a lie it was 16% for Bsc and 22% fir msci ucl gets thousands of applications for the Bsc t

you could do you master level project on that but it all depends as for a separate masters there could be something specific you want to do
