BTEC Level 2 for Oxbridge?

Hi,
I was just wondering if Level 2 BTECS are accepted as part of the accepted qualifications at GCSE Level. I understand that Oxford and Cambridge are very competitive universities and I am pretty sure they can accept some BTEC Level 3 Applicants depending on the Course. I want to do Physics and already have 9 GCSES, I thought that was pretty much enough GCSES and there was no point in adding more, so I chose a BTEC in Performing Arts as an equivalent so I can focus on the core subjects. I am really passionate about Physics and started loving math more than ever right now, (Year 10) so I was just wondering as not a lot of people have been talking about them due to them being seen as very 'bad' or 'weak' Qualifications that won't really get you accepted to any top rank Unis or Russell Groups. Any help or advice would be appreciated
Thank You for Reading.

The Oxford University Prospectus page states the following for BA Physics at Oxford:

Required subjects: Physics and Maths

Recommended subjects: Maths Mechanics modules

Helpful subjects: Further Maths.

Entrance requirements: A*AA (with the A* in Physics, Maths or Further Maths)

Are you currently studying A-Level Maths and A-Level Physics? Because they're the essential subjects required for admission and it would not hurt to also offer A-Level Further Maths with Mechanics papers.

Which other subjects are you studying? Surely, Maths and Physics?

I am in Year 10 so I am still doing my GCSES, I already know I am going to take Maths, Physics and FM at A level.

That's fine then. 🙂

So, you're doing the BTech in Year 10/Year 11? Then it should count as 1 GCSE subject surely? 😧

A chap from my school got into Physics at Wadham College, Oxford with 11 x 9 grades and had 4 of them with Edexcel ICT Vocational certificate. So, your BTech grade should be fine.

Also, he had offered AS-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Then he dropped Chemistry and Biology and achieved A*AA in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

Wadham College, Oxford is one of the Oxford colleges that reaches out to North London and Essex. No wonder, he chose the college residential for Physics at Wadham College.
