hello, I’m a student who wants to apply for audiology at UOM and fit all the alevel requirements but for GCSEs I got a 5 in science and not a 6! I did get rejected but is it possible for them to reconsider me if I call up or is it likely the course would be on clearing??

If I were in that situation, I’d definitely give UOM a call. Sometimes universities can reconsider borderline cases, especially if you can explain your strengths and commitment. If that doesn’t work, I’d keep an eye on clearing, as courses like audiology occasionally have last-minute spots. It’s worth being proactive on both fronts.

Unfortunately GCSE requirements are mandatory so calling the uni won't make a difference. GCSE requirements also don't change in clearing as they are the minimum standard needed to complete the course successfully. Do you meet the GCSE requirements for your other choices? If not, it might be worth considering retaking the GCSE.
