Not sure what to do

Hi, I’ve just started uni this September and I’m studying pharmacy. However, I think I’ve had the realisation that I may want to do dentistry. Any ideas on what I could do?
For my GCSEs I got 9999888877 and for my alevels I got AAAC if this is useful.
Thank you for reading this

Hi,

It’s understandable to reconsider your path in your first year, and it’s good that you’re thinking about it early. With your strong GCSEs and A-levels, you’d likely be a competitive applicant for dentistry.

If you’re certain this is the direction you want to take, it’s a good idea to speak to your personal tutor and the university’s careers team. They can provide advice on next steps and how to prepare a strong application for next year.

Shadowing a dentist or gaining relevant work experience can also help confirm if dentistry is the right fit and demonstrate commitment in future applications.

Hope this helps,

I would complete your pharmacy degree first.
There is no guarantee you will get into dentistry and you may just end up going around in circles.
