Hiya,

I'd first start by defining the theory of comparison in the question.

As for paragraph structure it would usually be something along these lines:

Example Q: Use of structural theory to compare the protection of civil rights and liberties.

Point - The constitution can protect rights in the USA and UK
Explain:
- The us constitution is codified
- civil rights and liberties are entrenched in the constitutions amendments, specifically in the bill of rights.
- protected by the amendment process
Contrast:
- the UK constitution is uncodified
- sources of the constitution dictate rights and liberties stem from statue, common law, etc
- far less entrenched than USA, being subject to parliamentary sovereignty and executive dominance
Link - therefore, the constitution can protect rights in the USA and UK, but better in the USA due to X reason.
However - UK constitution may provide flexibility, allowing for rights to be easily awarded e.g. recent abortion law changes.

It sticks to the point throughout offering comparisons between the two constitutions, while also providing a 'however' point.

Obviously it can be fleshed out with plenty of examples and evidence, but I do hope this rough outline helps!
