Philosophy and Czech at Oxfod

Hey guys I'm thinking of applying to Oxford for Philosophy and Czech but I hage a massive issue. The thing is no other unis that I know of offer the course, so I'm not sure how I'd write my personal statement. I was thinking I'd either have to mention wanting to learn Czech, but I don't know how I could apply that to courses at other unis, like LSE that just offers philosophy for instance.

I'd greatly appreciate any help, thanks!!

Is there some reason to want to learn Czech other than "I saw Oxford do Philosophy and Czech"? You could work it in another way if you, say, have family there, or have already started independently learning it, so to other places it seems like more of a fun fact about you and how dilligent you are.

Well when i was looking at courses at Oxford i really wanted to do philosophy and a modern language and the only beginners language that interested me was czech. I've also been Prague recently and found the culture insanely interesting, which was helped by my study of the USSR in history. Thanks for the advice!!!

that's a good thing to say because it shows that you likely have interest in the culture and people, which is certainly a useful thing in terms of gauging whether someone is a good MML candidate I suppose
