What's online Access to HE study really like?

For anyone who's done an Access to Science/Environmental HE Diploma online, what was it like day to day? Was the support good? Did you feel ready for uni afterwards, and how did you stay motivated?

I’ve just finished my online Access to HE Diploma (Social Sciences) with Distance Learning Centre, so hopefully this helps! 😊
Day-to-day it was very flexible you can study entirely at your own pace, which is great but also means you really need to keep yourself organised. I usually set small goals for each week, and that helped a lot with motivation!
The support was good too. My tutors always replied within a day or two, and the feedback was really detailed. It made a big difference because you do spend a lot of time studying independently.
In terms of feeling ready for uni: honestly, yes. The course really builds your academic writing, research skills, and confidence. I’m now applying for Law at uni 🙂
Motivation-wise, I just kept reminding myself why I was doing it and tried to enjoy the subjects as much as possible. Little routines, like studying in the same place or rewarding myself after finishing a TAQ, helped too!
Happy to answer anything else if it helps 😊✨
