LSE MSc Finance – Waitlist → “Under Consideration” again? Anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit confused about my current LSE MSc Finance application status and was wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar.

I submitted my application on 8 October, and on 15 November my portal changed to “Waitlisted”.
So far, so good, I knew that meant I was still being considered.

But on 22 November, the status suddenly changed back to “Under Consideration”, and it has stayed that way since. No email, no explanation, and nothing on the portal that I can act on.

Has anyone here experienced this “waitlist under consideration again” switch?
Is it usually a good sign, a bad sign, or just a random part of the process?

And for those who have been through it in previous years, what was the usual outcome or timeline once the application was sent back to the selectors for a final decision?

I feel a bit lost because I don’t know anyone with this exact sequence of updates, and I’d really appreciate any insights.

Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone applying!

Hey! I did get an email saying that I was waitlisted, but then I got "un-waitlisted" without any notice.
