Illness and Interview

Hi All,

Was really excited to get my interview next week for Cambridge but I've come down with an awful sickness. It's been a week and my sickness is not gotten better. I feel incredibly guilty for not being able to do any preparation this entire week. Given my interview is in person and I have to travel almost 5 hours to get there, it'll be extremely taxing on my body. My throat is the most worrying part being that I can't speak without a lot of pain at the moment. Does anyone know how I can do small amounts of preparation for the interview and any advice in general about being I'll at such a bad time?

Do your best in terms of preparation to the extent you are able to, speak to your gp (if you haven’t already) for their advice and to confirm the illness on your health record. If you haven’t recovered reasonably well this week then speak to the admissions office and make them aware of the situation, it just might be possible to delay your interview by a few days but if not, at least they will be aware of your condition.

Thank you so much for your advice. I'm going to the doctor's this afternoon and I'll ask for their advice. asking to delaying my interview is my last resort but my condition isn't showing any signs of improvement at the moment. Thanks though.
