UCAS Dilemma - Which universities should I choose?

Hi,

I am a Romanian final-year high schooler seeking to pursue an LLB degree in the United Kingdom.

I sat the LNAT last month (expecting a score around 26 and a pretty strong Section B essay) and now I face having to make the choice regarding which 5 universities I should apply to. I am predicted to have an A*A*A in my Baccaleaurate exams (equivalent of A-Levels).

It is honestly my dream to get into a university in London, so I've been looking more at law schools in that area. I was thinking of choosing KCL, QMUL, Bristol, Warwick and York, especially since the LNAT scores are usually lower for international applicants at KCL and Bristol. My desire to study in London, however, led me to consider replacing Warwick with LSE and York with Durham.

Is this realistic? Do I have a genuine chance of getting into at least one university in London? Thank you!

Hi,
Your A levels look strong, and the LNAT score while not excellent, won't hold you back in my opinion, as a lot of offer holders do tend to get around 26-29.

Your Original choices of: KCL, QMUL, Bristol, Warwick, York

Realistic and balanced.

KCL & QMUL give you London options.

Bristol, Warwick, and York are strong universities with slightly lower entry pressures than LSE.

2. Switching to LSE and Durham:

LSE is extremely competitive (high LNAT scores and grades). It’s possible, but riskier.

Durham is strong academically, but outside London, and is still very competitive as it climbs uni rankings yearly.

The best Strategy would be to:
Keep a balance: reach (LSE), target (KCL/Bristol), and safe (QMUL/York/Warwick).
London options: KCL and QMUL are strong choices; with your predicted grades and LNAT, you have a very realistic chance.

Don’t replace multiple safe/target choices with only reach options, you want at least a couple of realistic offers.
If your interested in other safer options In london, Check our Ulaw's London Campus: https://shorturl.at/nkYZx

Your original plan is solid, adding LSE could work if you’re willing to take a risk, but keep at least one or two strong target options to secure offers.

Hope this advice helps,
Ulaw,
Alfred.
