A level mathematics in LAE Stratford

Hi so on the schools website it says I need a minimum of 8+ to do maths a level but does that mean I need to be predicted an 8 or my current working grade must be an 8 cuz I’ve just done my first ppe and I think I got a 7 but I want to know if it’s predicted or working grade that need to be an 8

Thanks.

Not sure about that specific case, however most colleges allow you to submit a conditional offer where you can apply with your predicted grades and if you get them, they allow you in.
hope that helps

It’s kinda crazy that you need an 8 to do it.

I got a 7 in my GCSE maths and got an A* at a level.

You need to achieve a grade 8 in the exam to be accepted.

Crazy requirement - most schools ask for a 7 and get good results with that.

The minimum entry requirement for the sixth form includes a 7 in Maths and English Language so the requirement kind of has to be higher otherwise they're just letting everyone who gets in the chance to do Maths.

Do they run a combined maths and further maths assuming the addation exams the top universities ask for will be taken? (Eg like Cambridge Maths School)
