Worried about my English mock mistake 😟

I accidentally wrote a newspaper article instead of a letter for my Year 11 English paper 2 mock. Will this seriously affect my grade or chances for college? Anyone else done this and recovered? Any advice or reassurance would mean a lot!

Hi @jgdksfhkshfkjfj

I hope you are well! I understand the feeling of coming out of an exam and realising you have written the wrong thing or put the wrong answers, it's an easy mistake to make and it happens to everyone at least once. The good news is that you made that mistake in a mock. Therefore it wont impact your final grade!

Mocks are there for practice and to learn from mistakes. You have understood the mistake you made and will now be extra cautious not to make the same mistake twice. If anything, it has made you more aware for the real exams next summer and a mock is definitely the best place to slip up!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, these things happen and you can move on from it. Take the positives from the situation and then you can build on that.

I hope this response has helped, let me know if there is anything else you would like to discuss, I am more than happy to help.
