Anyone received a non contextual engineering offer from Durham, Edinburgh or Durham? RUK. If so when and how long after ucas submission. Thanks!

I applied to all those three! I received a non contextual mechanical engineering BEng offer from Edinburgh, I applied in November and heard back in December. I have not heard back from Durham or Exeter. Have you?

Congrats on the Edinburgh offer. What was their offer and your predicted grades?
Had an offer for Exeter. Still waiting for Durham and Ed though…

Congrats ab exeter, what was the offer? The Edinburgh offer was A*AA, and predicted grades were A*A*A*A*(maths, fm, physics, chem). I've just heard back from Exeter this week with AAB and Durham on Tuesday with a A*AA offer.
Out of interest, which is your top choice out of the ones you have applied for?

Huge congratulations on your offer - that’s a fantastic result! 🎉
Those are really strong predicted grades, so it’s great to see them reflected in your offers. An A*AA for Durham is a brilliant achievement.

Out of interest, which university is currently your top choice?

Have a look at this playlist of content (blogs, Tik Toks, etc.) about engineering at Durham.
Make sure to also explore your course on the official Durham website here.

Hiya!

Offer timelines can vary quite a bit, especially for Engineering, so it’s completely normal not to have heard yet. For Durham University, non-contextual offers for Engineering do tend to come out in batches and can be any time from a few weeks after UCAS submission through to the deadline period, so try not to read too much into the timing.

Have you already had offers back from your other choices?

In the meantime, feel free to ask if you want to know more about Engineering at Durham, the course structure, colleges, or student life 🙂

That’s amazing, massive congratulations from us all at Durham !! 🎉👏 Engineering at Durham is a fantastic offer to have!

The offer-holder day (POVD) is definitely worth going to, it’s the best way to get a feel for the department, see the facilities, and talk to current students about workload, projects, and placements. Make sure you also take the chance to look around a couple of colleges if you can, because where you live is a big part of the Durham experience. Do you have any college preferences as of right now?

Check out some Post-Offer Visit Day info here;

POVD guide from 2024 - This guide is from previous years but still helpful to have a little look at just be cautious it isn't up to date.

If you’ve got any questions before you come (course structure, timetables, college life, accommodation etc.) feel free to ask. Enjoy the POVD. 😊
