king's wimbledon offer - help!!

i got offered a place at king's wimbledon (im a girl btw), but without scholarship. idk if i want to go because it's so much money and idk if it's worth it, so i'm not sure if i'll accept.
first question is for current students - how are you finding it (honestly), and do you think it's worth it, and what are the people like?
second question is for other offer people - are you planning to go?? and also will you go to the offer holder evening thing?

thank you so so so sososoo much and feel free to ask me any questions because i'm actually clueless about what sixth form i should go to lol

Hi! i also got an offer (but with a scholarship). i think that going to kings is such an amazing opportunity and will benefit you a lot especially if you’re more STEM! What are you going to wear for the offer holders event?

Where do you currently go to? Are you definitely accepting kings or still in two minds? Probably, just a jumper and jeans!!

im a current kings student
I’m going to be frank: for a level grinding its probably second to none - your not going to get a better experience anywhere else. It does help the a level mark scheme is studied basically piecemeal. If your doing IB, well kings is great for ib, every teacher wants to teach ib icl - does help IB has better syllabuses.

I’m more familiar with the STEM side - extension is decently challenging and stretching?
Some depts (in stem) im less a fan of but thats personal preference and I don’t want to say anything that could harm your experience. Maths is one of the best organised depts, science is very well done.

People are well everything. Its less competitive than everyone says it is, most people are work hard play hard. Everyone locks in for tests but classes are pretty chill.

IB isn't better for STEM, A levels are.

debatable. What sort of STEM are you pursuing? If for maths - well ib is a worse option. Higher maths is still challenging, and more difficult than AL FM in kings definitely. You can still do a maths degree at a very good university and tbf the only thing I see that AL is better than IB for in that regard is “more time for extension” - lets be honest no one is that locked in - plus its very easy to do the wrong sort of “extension” for maths.

engineering - good friend of mine did IB and is now at uni for engineering, he quite liked IB.
Even for CS - I’m aware of someone that did IB and is now doing computer science.

That doesn't mena IB isn't a worse prep - I've taught both so am fully convinced that A levels are best for STEM.
