Hi Rose!
I hope you're well 🙂 I'm Tee, an MSc Student and Content Creator from the University of Staffordshire!

UCAS typically sends applications over to the universities within 24 - 48 hours of you submitting, and then it is down to how many applications the university has to review! This can take anything from a few days to several weeks, depending on the course, its popularity, and also when it's due to start.

I would personally give it up to 2 weeks from you submitting your application, and then contact your chosen university's admissions team to check if any progress has been made

I hope this is helpful to you, and of course, if you have anymore questions - feel free to drop me a message

It can take a fair bit, sometimes. Don't worry though, the universities will definitely receive your application from UCAS
In all honesty some unis don't even send an acknowledgement, instead just relying on the updates via UCAS.

Exeter is the only one I do not have a confirmation email from, I saw a few people say they never received a confirmation and it went to offers immediately, whilst others did receive them; it’s just confusing but I’m sure it will be fine!

Hi there! 👋

Once you’ve submitted your application through UCAS, it can take a little time before universities update your status to show they’ve received it. At De Montfort University, applications usually appear on our system within a few days, but during busy periods (like right after the UCAS deadline) it can take up to a week.

Don’t worry if you don’t hear back immediately this delay is totally normal and doesn’t affect your application in any way. As soon as your application is processed, we’ll be in touch with the next steps. If it’s been longer than a week and you’re concerned, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to check for you! 😊

For anyone reading this who is facing problems with their application and they applied to us, feel free to reach out here: : E: [email protected] T: (+44) 0116 207 8443 Our phone line is available Monday to Friday 9am-4:30pm.

Best wishes,
Elmehdi - DMU representative

Hi,

It usually takes a few days for universities to receive your UCAS application. Some may send automated confirmation emails, while others won’t. However, you can track updates through UCAS if there are any changes regarding your application.

Hope this helps, wishing you all the best
