ive never gotten high grades in my life

Hi so currently ive just started year 12 and I got my short test week results back and i feel like im going to lose it and I feel like im basically dumb asf or ive got something even though i revised well for it and used every sort of revision technique. So basically i got CCD (i take psych econ and politics) and its making me realise ive never gotten anything above a 6 or 5 at gcse no matter how much I revised. I used all the revision techniques my school and social media recommended and it never works. It also made me think back to primary where I was in the below average range and my primary were very worried Abt me especially in yr 6 as they feared I would not be ready for the secondary school environment and workload (i survived yay). Even so, in secondary before my gcse yrs I was always in the lower end of secure and mostly in the developing area. So to finish this vent up. These A level test week grades have made me feel worthless and that im not good enough for sixth form ✌🏾 i think i have something but who knows

Anyways bye gng

I think a lot of people feel this way once they join a-level as the jump from gcse is one of the biggest academic jumps you'll do. The scale of subject matter and speed at which you go through it is much harder than gcse. In my experience, your grades improve as you go on and adjust to a-level. My spanish gcse was always 4's and 5's and so my a-level was often U's and D's in the beginning, but towards year 13 I started getting more C's and eventually I came out with a B. I know its hard but don't feel too disheartened at the start of you a-level's as your not supposed to be amazing at it yet and that's why you're there to learn. Keep at it and have a chat with your teachers about how you're feeling. Going over your work and past papers could help target the areas you should focus on and you'll see fast improvements if you do.

Hope this helps,
