What is the maximum maintenance for open uni?

I will be sending my medical declaration from my GP.

I am also studying 120 credits a year. However, I'm getting mixed opinions regarding the maintenance loan.

Is it £10,445 yearly or 14,000?

(At the start of my course I will NOT be living at home)

Just to add I am 27 years old and I'm based in London.

Hi sabbysadr1998,

This is dependent on your study intensity. If you are studying 100% as if it was a full time course, The London Rate would be £13,762.00, that is if your course is in London. If your course is not in London, the highest amount available for 100% intensity is £8,877.00.

Thanks, Clare

Hi there,

As far as I am aware with the Open university they do not qualify for the London Rate for the Maintenance Loan. This means the maximum Maintenance Loan you may be eligible for is £10,544 for the 2025/26 academic year.

Thanks, Drew
