Funding for a second degree in Vet Med?

Hi,
I'm exploring my options to retrain as a vet, however I've already completed a BA degree in 2017. (I'm 30 now)
I've read that there is potentially funding available for Vet Med courses as a second degree but it's not clear what. As this is a 5 year course, I need to be realistic in whether I would be able to fund this so I'm trying to work out what exactly I'd be eligible for from Student Finance.
Any advice?

Hi there. Would you be studying an undergraduate or graduate entry course for this? Thanks, Leah.

It's an undergrad course but I have a first (unrelated) degree

Do you have the full name of the university and course you are looking to study, and if this is part time or full time? Thanks, Leah.

I'm looking at various universities atm and haven't applied at this stage but the course would be full time! A couple of examples of the courses I'm looking at:
Veterinary Medicine and Surgery - BVMS - University of Lancashire
Veterinary Medicine and Surgery - BVetMS - Harper and Keele Veterinary School

Hi there,

If studying full time then a Veterinary Science course is an exception if the course leads to you being a fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon. This offers support for Maintenance Loan only.

If studying part time and it leads to one of the following degrees
part time honours degree

joint honours degree

integrated masters degree.

You'd be eligible for the part time tuition fee loan.

Thanks, Jason
