Question about Personal Statement

Hey, so originally I applied for only 3 unis in London but now I’ve decided I’d like to apply for two other unis elsewhere but I have mentioned London twice at the end of my personal statement so I’m not sure whether this will hinder my chances at applying for other unis? There’s only two sentences of the entire personal statement where I mention London and everything else is fine so would like some guidance on what to do please
Generally this won't make any difference. Unis are well used to people mentioning other courses/unis/locations depending on what the applicant's preference is. They won't dock you points, it's just a small bit of wasted space so far as they are concerned.

(NB. Moved thread to the personal statement section.)

Hello there,

You’re definitely not the first person to change your mind after starting your application, so please try not to worry.
I’d recommend emailing the Admissions teams for the two new universities to ask whether they would accept an alternative version of your personal statement without the mentions of London.

Be honest that you originally planned to apply only to London universities, but after looking into their courses further, you realised they also appeal to you and you’d really like to apply. In your email, you can also briefly explain what interests you about their course for example, particular modules, campus facilities, the location, or anything else that stood out to you.

Even if they’re not able to accept an alternative personal statement, getting in touch means they’ll understand why London is mentioned and will be aware of your genuine interest in their course.

Thanks, that’s cleared up all my concerns
