Making a new application for 2025/56 year

Hello, I was previously studying BSc Physiotherapy and am switching to an Occupational Therapy course that starts in January 2026. I therefore withdrew my student finance for the physio course and this has been processed by SFE. I was told by SFE that I would be able to make a new online application once the withdrawal was completed, however when I go to try and do this it says I cannot do another online one as there is an already existing application and directs me to fill out the paper form. I then spoke to SFE who said that if I complete the form in writing, I can then upload it to the evidence section of the withdrawn application for 2025/26 and it will then be processed as a new application.

Please could I just double check that that is the correct way to do this? As the course starts in January I'm keen to get this sorted and I just don't want the new application to be missed! Please let me know if there is a better way to go about sending in the new application too.
