Do I need to do maths in English until I’m 19?

Hi, I’m currently studying music at a college but I’m not enjoying it. I want to leave when I’m 18. I don’t want to continue maths in English, I do not have GCSE or functional skills and do not wish to get these, when I maintain am I able to leave college without doing nothing in English and if I do choose to leave college can education force me to stay in, though it is law is it actually in law where I’d get arrested or is it something that just gets looked over, please no time wasters only comment if you know
You are only legally required to be in full time education or training (including apprenticeships) up to the age of 18. After that it's up to you what you want to do - you can go and get a job once you turn 18 if you want as far as I'm aware: https://www.gov.uk/know-when-you-can-leave-school

That said, many employers do require either a minimum grade in GCSE Maths and English language or functional skills maths and English language, as they are used as indicators of literacy/numeracy. Without that you might find you are limited in pursuing some job opportunities.

6% of the 16-17 population (14% 18 year olds) are technically NEETs, and even if you are technically enrolled with a college to do GCSEs, you may be able to get away with just... not going. I wouldn't recommend not getting your level 2 Maths and English qualifications, because of job prospects, but I don't see anyone getting arrested for it if that's all you care about.
