You mention universities. Have you considered the conservatoires, as these are the obvious places for performance: RCM, RAM, Guildhall School of Music and Dance and Trinity Laban ?
Hi @Dusty01,

If you’re looking for a university that offers music production, I’d recommend checking out UAL (London College of Communication) and the BA (Hons) Music Production course.

The course is very hands-on, with access to professional studios, sound labs, and industry-standard equipment. While it’s production-focused, there’s a big emphasis on collaboration, so you’ll regularly work with performers, bands, filmmakers, music managers and other creatives across UAL.

There’s also a really lively student music community. UAL runs regular open-mics and performance nights in the on-campus bar, which are great if you want to keep performing or testing out new material. Being in London also means easy access to loads of small venues and grassroots spaces, making it much easier to stay involved in live music alongside your studies.
It’s a great option if you want to build technical skills in production while still being actively involved in performance and the wider music scene.

Hope that helps, and if you have any more questions about UAL, feel free to ask!
