Veterinary Medicine - Clearing, UCAS

I would like to do Veterinary Medicine in September 2026 however I missed the application deadline in October. I am also currently in first year of another degree at a university that doesn't offer veterinary medicine. To go through clearing in august 2026, do I have send an application through UCAS or can I just call the university up on results day without an application?. I know University of Lancashire doesn’t require an application however does the same apply to all vet schools in the UK?

Are you home or international student? Think the process differs accordingly. Last year Notts, UCLan and SRUC were in clearing. I think you just contact the unis on results day, when you know they are definitely in clearing. I’m guessing as you are in uni you have a UCAS account already set up so you’ll be ready to go. Good luck

Hi @KS123.,

It's great to hear that we are one of your options. We can't guarantee or say if our vet med course will be in clearing. This really varies from year to year. I would recommend getting in touch with our enquirers team if you have any further questions or need advice regarding this. You can reach out to the team via [email protected] or by calling them on +44 (0)1772 892400 (Option 1).

Best wishes, ^Zac
You will need a paid and submitted application to use clearing.
