Manchester Uni Mechanical Engineering with Foundation Year

Anyone can advise for the experience with the course? Isn't it worth to have a foundation year at Manchester instead of entry to a lower-ranked university? Thanks!

Manchester is one of the top UK Unis for Engineering.
Is this course actually what you want to do?

My predicted grades are AAA and the choices are limited. I love mechanical engineering and want to secure a place at a better uni. MEng with foundation year seems like more secured but there is no information here for reference. Don't you have any suggestion? Thanks!

Rankings and league tables are essentially just marketing-fluff. They don't actually mean that much in the real-world and this wont have any significant impact on your eventual career. Employers are far less bothered by 'which Uni' than many school-leavers (and schools seem to assume. Far more important is your eventual degree grade, relevant work-experience, and 'interesting person'.

Where else are you going to apply?

I will choose 5 from the following:

UCL, Warwick, Queen Mary, Nottingham, Exter, Manchester, Bristol

Not sure if these are the right choices or any other missed!
