Hey there(:

Sorry to hear you've been finding one of your modules tough ☹️ - generally depends on if its a requirement for your degree to have that specific module to move onto the next part of your course, i had a few friends who failed a maths module in 1st year but still could move on with it saying something along the lines of "passed by compensation" - meaning failed but other grades + all main requirements met to move forward

its worth speaking to your university to see what the next steps would be! - may be a resit in summer available to do if your needing the module, alternativly some of my friends have had an extra module to make up the extra creidits they were missing the year before - obviously either option isnt exactly ideal but it happens! - nothng to stress and once you know the options you can plan and prep for any potential resits + talk to lectuerers about any support avaible to help you pass if thats what your needing to progress forward on the course!

hope this helps, best of luck 💜

As the rep says, this would likely completely depend on your university and course.

Have you tried asking your university on what to do next?

Hi Anom,

I see you have already received some excellent advice.

As said, this depends on the module itself. Your next step should be to contact either your tutor, module leader, course leader or even your personal tutor. Even if you have to resit, the university will help you get this sorted/ arranged, do not let this worry you.

Just stay focused on your other modules and achieving your best possible grades in them.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,

Hi,

Have you managed to find a response? generally you’d only resit the exam/essay you failed in.

Hi there,

The first point of contact should be your faculty. I would advice you to speak to them and find out the options you have. Also you might want to speak to your personal tutor (if you have one) to discuss your options and reflect on what can be improved to avoid such situations in future.
