Offers will be made gradually, and the timing of offers has no significance.
You could be waiting until next May, so try to stop endlessly checking your phone.

The weightings Bristol uses are - GCSE 20% | A-Level 80%. Whilst the Bristol course is mega-competitive, unless your GCSEs were dire this is a surprising rejection for A*A*A.

As it was within 2 weeks of my application I was able to switch it for another uni(Manchester) although I am concerned as they have higher grade requirements so they might be more difficult to get into

Any info on Manchester would be helpful as it was a last minute decision and I don’t know much about it

Mine were rejected the day after on hold, I emailed them for feedback. This is what they say: "Mechanical Engineering is one of our most competitive subject areas, and it's very common for applicants for this course to apply with at least x8 Grade 9s at GCSE and x3 A*s at A-level. Sadly, both your GCSE and A-level grades were less competitive than those of other applicants, which is why we were unable to offer you a place."

this is right as someone from my school got an offer for 3a* 1a and 9x9s
