Hello, This is my first time posting so I am still getting used to this. I wanted to come on here and ask directly as I've seen the threads about the access courses but kind wanted advice on my situation from people that may have been in the same place.
To start things of i had very rocky GCSE grades as I have been dealing with loss of a parent at the time and so i just passed math's and English, i did retake these as i originally did not pass. I was heartbroken and went to college to study animal care level 2, i got a merit. After I did animal management level 3, where I got a DDM. Following that I got into university on a Bioveterinary science degree from a teacher recommendation. However, i must mention that I was told by said teacher I am not smart enough to do veterinary medicine and she took it off my UCAS. Feeling demoralized I applied for biovet anyway in hopes that I can do vet med after. I achieved a 2:1, I enjoyed the course but in all honesty all I wanted is to go to vet school (so not that much).
Now this brings me to here. I emailed Surrey uni regarding their entry requirements and due to my biovet course not covering enough of chemistry I was told to either do chem A level or an access course. I chose the access course and I just bought it last week and currently completing Unit 3. I also wanted to preface I live near enough to RVC and Surrey university so ideally those two would be great to apply but I am also considering Bristol as one of my choices.
Now a little bit about me I am a very anxious person, I am on medication to mitigate the symptoms however I do not do well at interviews. I'm mentioning this as i am aware Bristol do not require in person interviews and would like to know if anyone had any success from access course's and doing it as a second degree.
But for my choices I would like to put down Surrey, Both RVC courses (accelerated and normal) and Bristol, but I'm not quite sure if I should do two choices for bristol or two for RVC.
