A level subjects

I'm studying Spanish, Environmental science and criminology at notre dame. What do yall think abt this combo?

Pros
It’s a genuinely interesting mix you get a language, a science, and a social-policy subject, which can make you stand out.
Spanish keeps doors open for international work; Environmental Science gives you solid scientific skills; Criminology links well with sociology, law, and public-sector careers.
You’ll build a broad skill set: analysis, research, communication.

Cons
The subjects don’t naturally overlap, so your workload may feel a bit “bitty” with no shared content.
Some universities prefer two traditional subjects for certain degrees, so check entry requirements if you’re aiming for competitive courses.
Criminology is less widely required/valued than Spanish or Environmental Science, depending on what you want to study next.
Overall: a solid mix if you enjoy all three and have a clear idea of where you want to go next.

What are you hoping to do after you have done your A-levels?

The thing is I never planned on doing those three subjects in the first place, due to the requirements I had to change everything up, I also would've picked A level maths instead as I had the opportunity to do so yet I thought a grade 7 in maths was required to do it and I got a 6, although I was wrong and found out only a 6 was needed

very good question, I'm keeping the course im interested in studying private for now but I'm looking forward to apprenticeships rather than uni (have uni as my backup)

Hi,

I’d say it really depends on what you want to do in the future and whether this combination meets entry requirements for your plans. It could be a really interesting mix, giving you a range of skills. You may also find it helpful to speak to a careers advisor or a teacher to see how it fits in with your goals.

Hope this helps, wishing you all the best
