Accounting & Finance Safety Choice Unis?

Hi I'm predicated A* A A (econ, computer science, maths) and I've applied for 4 choices already, but I'm still looking for a good safety choice to study accounting & finance at. By safety choice I mean somewhere that I'd have a decent chance of getting accepted to. I don't mind location, but id still like it to be an okay uni (job prospect wise).

Reading - ABB - BSc Accounting and Finance - 2026/27 - their Business School has an excellent reputation.
Royal Holloway - ABB - Accounting and Finance BSc | Royal Holloway, University of London - ditto re. reputation.
Go for a 'with placement' or any other work-experience or study-abroad for all your choices if you can - this will add enormously to your graduate CV and your immediate employability.

Hey there,
If you’re looking for a choice for Accounting and Finance, LSBU could be a really good match to consider while you round off your list. Your predicted grades are strong, so you’d be well within range for our Business School courses. We normally look for around 112 to 120 UCAS points, which makes it a comfortable option for you without feeling like you’re compromising on quality or future prospects.

At LSBU you’d be part of our Business School, which has a very practical, career focused approach. Students use real accounting software, work on industry-linked projects and get strong support with placements and employability. A lot of people choose us because they want a degree that feels applied and actually prepares them for roles in finance, business and economics.

Day to day, you’d be studying in spaces designed for business students, including seminar rooms for smaller group teaching, collaborative areas, and dedicated student kitchens where people meet, make food between classes and actually get to know each other. It’s a friendly environment and you’ll meet students across accounting, business management, economics and finance, so it feels like a real community.

If you want a safety choice that still gives you good job prospects, strong support and a down to earth student experience, LSBU is definitely worth adding to your list.

You are always welcome to explore LSBU a bit more and get a real feel for what student life is like here. We actually have a virtual open day today from 12:30 to 1:30 pm where you can hear more about our courses and support. If you would prefer to see the campus in person you can book a tour https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/study-at-lsbu/open-days/campus-tours on a day that suits you and get a sense of the spaces you would be studying in. You can also chat to our current students https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/chat to hear honest experiences and get answers to any course questions you might have.
