Durham University College allocation 2026 after successful remark

Hi

My Daughter, originally missed her offer requirement to Study English Lit by 2 marks for 2025. However after a successful remark (received after the deadline) has been offered a place for 2026.
We are trying to find out if Durham will honour her original college allocation of Hatfield or will she have to reapply again.
My Daughter has tried contacting Durham admissions, but sadly no response. She did speak to student support in Hatfield College, who said she will likely have to reapply for colleges again.
We would just like confirmation one way or another. Is anyone else in the same position?

It has already been a horrible experience having to go through the remark process and we really could do with clear communication on what will happen next.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, This is just the ramblings of a mother who has had three daughters get into Hatfield and was just checking TSR on behalf of the 4th who is has a not yet got her college allocation but sat her A levels in 2025. I think they allocate deferred places first, so your daughter is more likely to get Hatfield again as she has taken a Gap Year. My theory is that if the colleges can at least get some students sorted into colleges before A level results day they do. Hatfield was the first choice of my two eldest, who both had a gap year, and also the first choice for my third daughter who went straight after A Levels. We think as she had been to a non selective state school she might have been top of the list to counterbalance Hatfield's reputation! I'd get her to phone admissions again. I'm pretty certain my daughter has already ranked the colleges in order of preference.

Hi- my son has deferred entry for 2026 and when he spoke to his college in September ( after they sent him a room allocation for 2025 entry) they said he would have to reapply for a college through the ballot. He emailed admissions about how to go about resubmitting his list in November and has had no reply. He is going to try phoning.
