Art gcse- help!

I have three weeks to complete my component 1 for art gcse
Bit of background to explain my mindset- my class has not had a proper art teacher for the last two years of learning (we've had five different teachers) so we have not done anything towards our first project we were meant to have finished in yr10.
As a result i have the christmas holidays to finish my portraiture project. I am not a fan of portraiture but i'm trying to make do and am thinking of experimenting with collage as it will be quicker and easier to do in my limited time.

For a small mental image - my main idea is a photo of a person but cut out the face part and replace it with eyes in different mediums etc
The rest remains to be seen. But basically social commentary on judgement from others 🧐
I might be going a bit deep with this.

My question is, is this enough? Is collage an ok medium to actually get me a good grade or is it too simplistic?
Would anyone have any other reccomendations?
Any advice is appreciated, thankyou!

i think if all you do is replace the features that is quite simple and wont get a high grade - perhaps if you had a collage where you had multiple faces and they were all fully collage instead of bits and they didnt fit seamlessly like a bit abstract with also a collage background with collage hands or collage scenery idk - i did a similar thing as a side project (it wasnt my final end of year 10 project tho) some artists that I took inspiration from as well were matthieu bourel and john clark

what i ended up doing for the final project was making collage backgrounds and then doing lino prints of my brother with his hands stretching his face and him screaming on top and then after i photocopied them and further edited them with photoshop but also manually with alcohol markers etc - if you dm me i can try send you photos of what i did (btw this was like 3/4 years ago)

you might not be able to do lino at home tho is the only problem - but yeah just some ideas in case they are helpful
( i got an 8 at gcse btw)
