Is it worth applying to Imperial with these stats?
I'm an average student but i was wondering if it's worth applying to Imperial instead of UCL?
predicted grades:
A* - math
A* - a language sub
A - physics
A - chemistry (i can probably get an A* but my school wanted to keep me humble i fear)
I retook the AS component for phy this oct nov session, and will retake the AS component for chemistry too as composite in may june 2026. I got Cs in both initially.
IGCSE:
A*AAAABBBC
After typing this out i can see my stats are absolutely horrid. I wanna apply for mechanical engineering. UCL or Imperial?

If you look at the UCAS Historical Grades then that course HAS accepted students with A*AA onto the course. Competition is tough for Imperial course tonight but it’s worth using it as your “reach” option on UCAS (like don’t just apply Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, Kings + 1)

it kinda just depends on your ESAT score 6.0+ yes anything below probably not
