Medicine Wider Reading Reccomendations
Hello! Does anyone have any recommendations for MOOCs, books or any other resources you think would be useful to a medicine applicant. I'm 2027 undergraduate entry and I'm not really sure where to get started.

I really enjoyed When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi, and I also like books by Nick Lane (about things like biochem and evolution).

Sorry for the list but here are some stuff for work experience/wider reading
-Have a look at Newcastle mini medical school at the lectures posted on youtube. Make some notes on them and reflect on them- you can save these for future interviews

-For online work experience do Observe GP it is an online work experience prgramme (free)
-Look at the open university for MOOCs or Unifrog
-Have a look at Sutton trust programmes too/summer schools you may want to attend
-I did a bioinformatics and medical stats MOOC but found it sooo boring so I opted to do a mini research project on something I was interested in. This is especially great if you don't do an EPQ (which I would highly reccomend doing)

Im also interested, 2026 gem applicant. Im reading books on anatomy, have netters colouring book, looking at human physiology glance series from the library. Any gems to chip in particularly non bio-science grads...
