how important actually are gcses for uni

ive always wondered how important ur gcses acc are - i got 9888887777 but i go to a grammar school so thats just mid coming from a grammar school. i got back into my sixth form easy so theres no problem w that n i can do all the subjects i wanna do. but im looking at doing med, and im interested in ucl . i know ucl is competitive, so im a bit worried cause my results fall short of a looot of other applicants. and even tho alevels have started im still stressed out ab whether my gcses will hold me back, my parents are disappointed in me and i lowkey am as well, but i need some confirmation about how this will acc affect me later on, and whether its even worth applying to ucl. obvs alevels are the key grades now when applying, but i still want someone to actually lay it out, cus its not like gcses dont matter at all all of a sudden

Hey, I'm a gcse student so i can't really answer your question but i am also curious about this as i'm worried about getting bad grades (i hope not🙏) My mock results came out last week 9888887775 and they were pretty similar to yours except from one 5 in history which im scared about but in relation to my school it's pretty good.

Also i dont think you should be dissapointed the scores you got are great and I really hope I get something similar to that.
